Thriving wine community who stop in for Saturday tastings, engage with the local makers, buy local and enjoy the retail experience. We stretched 3 materials to their absolute extent to avoid wastage, ie the terrazzo stone slab was used on every mantel surface and the left overs are display and cheese boards. One colour paint was used throughout, textured render added to the harder to hide undulating walls, and clay coloured tiles to emulate earth’s riches were placed in highlight retail areas, ie the counter/ concierge and entrance walls. Sustainability in material supply and usage was our greatest achievement.
